A Nigerian official has said a female suicide bomber killed eight people and wounded 18 others on Monday.
The attack happened at a mosque in northeastern Nigeria, an area regularly attacked by Boko Haram Islamists, police said.
The head of the Borno state emergency management agency said the blast happened at the London Ciki area of Maiduguri, which has been at the epicenter of Boko Haram violence since 2009.
Nobody claimed responsibility, but the use of female suicide bombers is a tactic used by militant group Boko Haram.
