US President Donald J. Trump has paid tribute to the economic transformations and important changes in Saudi Arabia, stressing that the kingdom is among the countries that lead important positive changes and work on the welfare and stability of their peoples. He added that Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the crown prince are seeking "bold new reforms."
During the speech of the United States of America in the General Debate of the United Nations General Assembly, he said that the United States is working with the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Jordan and Egypt to establish a regional strategic alliance so that the countries of the Middle East can promote prosperity, stability and security through their region, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
""In the Middle East, our new approach achieves historic change. After my visit to the kingdom last year, the Gulf states opened a new centre to target the financing of terrorism, imposing new sanctions and working with us to identify and track terrorist networks and assume more responsibilities in fighting terrorism and extremism in their region," he said.
He added that countries such as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) pledged billions of dollars to help the Syrian and Yemeni peoples, and these countries are seeking various ways to end the terrible civil war in Yemen.
"Thanks to the US Army and our partnership with many countries in the region, I am pleased to announce that the bloodthirsty 'Daesh' terrorists have been driven out of the territories they occupied in Iraq," he said.
He also criticized Iran as a "corrupt dictatorship" that looted the wealth of the Iranian people to pay the cost of their hostile activities abroad, saying, "Iran's leaders are spreading chaos, death and destruction, they do not respect their neighbors or their borders or the sovereign rights of the countries," he said.
