Striker of Egypt’s Ahly football team Emad Moteb revealed that he does not take into account the untenable justifications promoted by the coaching staff to justify their decision to exclude him from the starting lineup during the recent period.
He added, in a statement to “Egypt Today”, that he needs to know the viewpoint of Coach Hossam Al Badry, saying that he was keeping silent for months in respect to the fans and his fellow players. He blamed the coaching staff for not providing him with full opportunity although the number of goals he scored during the short periods he spent on the pitch are higher than many of other strikers on whom the coach depends.
He stressed that the coach promised him to provide him with the opportunity to participate during the coming matches in the framework of the Arab Championship, saying that he is scheduled to sit with the coach after his return from Canada to discuss his future with the team.
He denied what was published in a number of media platforms over his intention to retire by the end of the current season, saying that he will not take such a decision as long as he can perform well and prove his efficiency on the pitch.
