Egypt’s Haidy Adel won the bronze medal in the women’s individual events at the UIPM 2017 U19 World Championships, which run from July 17 to 24 in the capital city of the Czech Republic, Prague.
Adel, who scored 1,036 points, came in the second place after Russi’a Adelina Ibatullina earned the gold medal with 1,059 points and Italy’s Elena Michel snatched the silver medal with 1,051 points.
Also, Salma Ayman Abdel Maqsoud finished in the 14th place, while Mariam Amer occupied the 21st position and Nourin Al Gamal was ranked in the 36th place.
Egypt had won the gold medal in the Men’s Relay and the silver medal in the Women’s Relay.
Egypt’s team comprises four male players and four female players.
The UIPM U19 World Championships, formerly known as the UIPM Youth A World Championships and comprising a Tetrathlon format (Fencing / Swimming / Laser-Run), continue on July 20 & 21 with qualification for the Women’s and Men’s Individual Finals on July 22 & 23 respectively.
