His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received, today at Qasr Al Bahr, the Emirati world champion in Jiu-Jitsu, Faisal Al Ketbi, the winner of the gold medal in the 94 kilogramme weight category and the silver medal in the open weight category at the recent World Games in Warsaw, Poland.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed congratulated Al Katbi on his success. He also expressed his happiness at this achievement and the efforts of the UAE’s athletes, and their persistence to win first place in sporting events.
His Highness praised the excellent and advanced level of the nation’s athletes who competed in the World Games and other championships, while stressing that this result represents an important stage in the journey of Jiu-Jitsu, in accomplishing more successes in upcoming regional and international events. He also wished for more notable successes to develop the sport in the UAE.
Al Ketbi expressed his happiness at meeting His Highness Sheikh Mohamed and stressed that the words of His Highness are considered to be an honour for any athlete in the country.
