Does the reader know that apparently, the child Mohammed al-Dura was not killed by Israeli soldiers in Gaza as he tried to take shelter in his father’s arms during the second intifada 13 years ago? Because this is what a report issued by the neo-Nazi government in Israel has claimed, and accused a French television network of inventing the whole story. Thus, those who invented a whole country on the land of Palestine on the basis of Torah myths, are now attempting to invent a new account for the death of al-Dura, which ignores the audiovisual documentation we have in the television footage. So perhaps the next report to come out of Israel will claim that Christ had committed suicide. I continue with more tidbits from or about Israel: - Ever since I first heard of the Wagner Festival in Bayreuth, I have been hearing about the links between this great German composer and Nazism. Later on, I understood that the alleged links were between Wagner’s family and Nazism, since the classical composer Richard Wagner had died on February 13, 1883, while Adolph Hitler was born on April 20, 1889, i.e. six years later. Hitler loved Wagner's music, hence the interest in Wagner’s family. As a result, there is a Jewish and Israeli boycott of Wagner’s music and family. When some musicians tried to play Wagner in Israel, a massive controversy ensued and performances were banned. Other concerts were organized in the face of a public boycott, and everyone acted as though Wagner was a friend of Hitler. Now I read that Katharina Wagner, the organizer of the Wagner festival in Bayreuth, together with her sister Eva, will hand Wagner's estate to the Bavarian state archive so that access by researchers to these documents is made possible. Most of these documents consist of correspondence between the family members, and I do not know what they contain. What I know is that Wagner died before Hitler was even born, and there is no relationship whatsoever between the German composer and the Austrian-born Nazi leader. So perhaps this is nothing more than yet another attempt to distract people away from Israel’s ongoing crimes against the Palestinians in their own country, which is the land from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, and not just 22 percent of it that has been occupied since 1967. The Palestinians, and us with them, accepted to have their state on that slice of land, yet the occupiers did not. - Cleaning the residence of the Israeli prime minister cost 3.291 million shekel (around US$900,000) in 2012, according to official Israeli figures. We all know that Netanyahu is dirty, but I never imagined that his filth required millions to be cleaned year after year. Netanyahu recently visited Britain and it emerged that he added a 100,000-euro bedroom on the private plane that took him, for a trip that did not last more than four hours. I quickly add here, before the reader thinks that Netanyahu is as extravagant as he is filthy, that it is probably the United States that foots the bills of the Israeli government. This is despite the stifling financial crisis in the United States, and is probably the result of the Israel lobby having bought Congress and put it in its back pocket. - The last item about Israel focuses on Israeli finance minister Yair Lapid, founder of Yesh Atid. The New York Times recently spoke to him about his views on foreign policy, which the Israeli press quoted and commented on. Lapid said that he would not stop the “natural growth” of the settlements, and would not end financial incentives for Israelis who move to the occupied lands. Concerning the peace process, Lapid said that President Mahmoud Abbas is one of the founding fathers of the cause who perceive the Palestinians as victims. I don’t know where to begin. The Palestinians are indeed the victims of Jewish occupation based on the myths of the Torah. All of Israel is Palestinian land, and its occupation is of a Nazi level complete with racism against the only native people of the land, and it kills, destroys, and dispossesses them. US Secretary of State John Kerry will visit the region this week, but I have written again and again and I repeat this today: People, forget about it, there will be no peace with the government of Israeli fascists.
