Jordan will be hosting the Women Empowerment and Leadership Conference in Amman on November 26.
The two-day conference aims at strengthening and consolidating the abilities of women in the Arab region, and their participation in the national political, economic and social arenas, especially after the difficult conditions they experienced in the past in the Middle East and North Africa.
The agenda of the conference includes a discussion on various topics such as the absorption of women cadres in the region in leadership positions, women’s education, the political role of women and their impact on legislation and promotion of social projects in the Arab world.
The conference will also discuss success stories of Arab women in trade and economic participation, in addition to achievements of women in the West and the benefits accrued from that. The important role played by women in supporting men to be successful and ensuring women’s rights in health care and appropriate education in the countries of the region will be the other topics for discussion.
Jordan News Agency (Petra) will be the media partner, besides various Jordanian government institutions through ministries and representatives of government departments.
